Last month, we saw the changes Cadillac will use in its sedan offerings for next model year. The 2021 Cadillac CT4 and CT5 are getting big updates, even though they are only in the second year of being offered.
However, Cadillac will offer a new package for the CT5 – more specifically, for the CT5 Sport trim. According to the report by GM authority, the CT5 Sport gets a V Performance Package, designed to bridge the gap between Sport Trims and V-Series.
As the name implies, the V Performance Package adopted performance upgrades from the V-Series trim and then added to the CT5 Sport. These upgrades include performance suspension, mechanical limited slip variation, and the recently unveiled Magnetic Ride Control 4.0. GM’s fourth-generation proprietary suspension technology offers a 45 percent faster response dampness compared to its predecessor.
To get the V Performance Package, consumers also need to choose a Brembo V Performance brake. They also have to opt for the RWD model as it is not offered when running on all fours.
Of course, the CT5 Sport with V Performance Package will also get multiple updates for the model year of 2021. It includes a better 12-inch fully digital instrument cluster and an updated infotainment system with integration of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Exterior paint colors such as Red Obsession Tintcoat and Royal Spice Metallic will also be dropped from the options, which will be replaced by Infrared Tintcoat. CT4-V and CT5-V may be exclusively available at Rift Metallic paint work.
The GM Authority has not reported on the pricing of the V Performance Package for the CT5 Sport, but is expected to announce it in the next few months or when the configurator goes up for the 2021 model year.
