Released just a few months ago, Dear 3 is part of Wasteland franchise, a precursor to Fallout games. Played from the top perspective, the game focuses on squad-based, turn-based combat similar to XCOM. The game also features a co-op mode that allows two players to participate at the same time, each with their own set of turns.
Decades after a nuclear war destroyed the world, you play as a member of the Rangers, a rag-tag militia dedicated to protecting the weak and bringing order to the desert. While previous titles take place in post-apocalyptic Arizona, Wasteland The 3 players found themselves in the snowy Colorado ruins, where they were tasked with helping or overthrowing the local leader to support the Rangers in their home. Dear 3 is a cross-platform title, so it can be played by players on PlayStation, Xbox One and Windows, with Linux and macOS ports in the works.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Cyberpunk 2077 may not be out yet, but fans can always try out the game series made CD-Projekt Red a big-developer today. The Witcher 3 is an open-world action-RPG in which you play as Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster hunter for hire, or Witcher.
In the game, players are free to explore a massive fantasy world, find thefts, make potions and weapons, participate in adventures and side contracts, or just sit back and play a round of in- game card game by Gwent. The game is made on the company’s own REDengine 3 and is optimized for almost every major platform, including upcoming next gen consoles.
While it is overshadowed by some of the other titles like Obsidian Entertainment The Outer Worlds, Eternal Pillars It can be said that the game keeps the company afloat in a time of crisis. With the help of $ 4.1 million from more than 77,000 Patreon donations, the company has created a classic looking, real-time strategy RPG. While taking place in a fantasy setting, the game is in a period similar to the early Renaissance, where magic became more common, gunpowder weapons were created and democracies and republics began to replace the Kings and Emperors. Upcoming Obsidian title Adopted will be set in the same world of Eora.
Eternal Pillars takes place in Dyrwood, a country where the Hollowborn Crisis, a phenomenon in which newborn babies are born without souls, took hold of the earth. The hero must explore the land, gather allies and uncover the mystery behind this crisis. Columns was created using Unity Engine and is available on Microsoft Windows, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Since it’s part of the Xbox Game Pass, fans will likely play it in Series X when the next gen gen is released.
Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
An action-strategy RPG, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is set in a medieval land known as Caladria. Players need to gather soldiers and allies to assist them in the main campaign and side adventures, especially the big battles and sieg of the castle, which are meant to be historically accurate. Interestingly, the game allows you to get married and have children with certain characters. If your player character dies, your child will become a new playful character, inheriting all the soldiers, land and treasure acquired.
However, it should be noted that (similar to Baldur’s Gate 3) This game is currently in early access to Steam, so what is available now is not a shiny final product. However, nevertheless Mount & Blade II is an exclusive PC today, it is less demanding on technology than BG3 and the developer of TaleWorlds Entertainment has already announced plans to eventually deliver it to consoles.
Holiness Original Sin II
Baldur’s gate is not the only franchise created by Larian Studios; the developer is also known for creating Holiness: Original Sin series Holiness II is an RPG that can be played in single or multiplayer, making for some real tactical battles.
