The Agropur's Canadian dairy milk cooperative on Saturday gave a careful, voluntary return of two types of ice cream sandwich. Specifically: "Iceberg brand 190 mL ice cream sandwich sold in boxes of 8, and Originale Augustin brand 190 mL ice cream sandwich sold in boxes of 30, due to a risk of fine metal particles in the product . "
Retailers are should remove the products from the shelves, Agropur said in a statement.
The recuperation is administered by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
"There are no cases of uncomfortable or injuries reported," the company said. "We do this voluntary action only for kindness."
Agropur is one of the largest dairy processors in the world, says its website. More than 3,000 dairy farmers are part of the cooperative.
