An upcoming patch for The Outer Worlds on Switch will bring some appreciated visual upgrades

Hopefully Peril comes next in the Gorgon DLC

The Outer Worlds Switch has sparked a lot of talk about whether some sacrifices are worth making when porting a game to weaker hardware. For those who play it on PC, PS4, or Xbox One, this is a dramatic drop for sure. For me, that I did not play it on more powerful systems, I found it decent enough.

It looks rough and frustratingly barren, but could change later this month when the long-awaited patch is released on the Switch. The full patch note is being suppressed so far, but the game’s Twitter page has decided to give us a peek at how the visuals will improve with the download.

Or what yes Here is the hope that it will not take up too much space on my microSD card.

The Outer Worlds is now available on Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store. It will launch on Steam on October 23rd.
