Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War console players turn off crossplay to try to escape PC scammers – in beta.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War went into beta across PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC this week, crossplay enabled. And those scammers have noticed that the game is ruining for others – despite the progress not brought from beta to full release.
Redditor madzuk took the sub of Black Ops Cold War to post a game clip play showing a player clearly using a selfishness to overthrow multiple enemies in the blink of an eye.
The MOST outspoken and ridiculous hack of desire I have ever seen in a video game 😂 from r / blackopscoldwar
Redditor 1mP3N uploaded a similar clip:
[PC + SEA] An hour in beta and I met a player with soft aimbot and wallhack. I expect Treyarch to monitor the anticheat carefully at this time. from r / blackopscoldwar

A glance at the more popular video game cheat websites shows Black Ops Cold War hacks for sale.
As you might expect, with the cheats coming forward, Black Ops Cold War console players have disabled crossplay on the PC to prevent scammers.
“Kill cross play,” redditor RoKeOps said. “I’d rather wait a long time for a lobby than deal with hacker assclowns who can’t be cut into a real match without hacking.”
“The first thing I did yesterday was cross-play,” Illini_Jack said. “This is why you killed crossplay,” Ryanmoses10 added. “They’re actually asking that they allow a ‘console only’ option.”
“That’s why I disabled crossplay right away on my ride,” akpatel_07 said.
The current situation in Black Ops Cold War has once again changed the memories of a similar situation in the Call of Duty of Infinity Ward: Modern Warfare and Warzone, which has been plagued by fraud since its launch.
Back in April, we reported how Warzone players disabled crossplaying a bid to escape PC scammers – and now history repeatedly joins the Black Ops Cold War even in beta form .
Of course Activision hopes the Black Ops Cold War will avoid gaining a reputation for cheating in the same way as Modern Warfare and Warzone. Infinity Ward has been criticized for failing to deal with fraudsters in its shooter, despite many waves of bans and warnings. Right now, some Black Ops Cold War beta players feel they better kill crossplay – just to be safe.
