The new Black Ops Cold War beta features crossplay support across all platforms. Players can try a “choice” of multiplayer maps, but a full rundown is not announced. There will be different 6v6 modes as well as the brand new 12v12 Combined Arms and the 40-player Fireteam: Dirty Bomb mode.
There will also be a development system so players can see what they want to unlock new weapons, equipment, create a space slot, and Scorestreaks. However, it is expected that, like previous Call of Duty betas, all progress will be wiped out before the official release.
Activision also said that players should expect “frequent updates and some surprises” for the beta, so keep checking back for the latest.
Everyone who reaches level 10 in beta will get a special Mutual Animosity SMG weapon blueprint that can be unlocked when the Black Ops Cold War launches in November.
Black Ops Cold War officially released on November 13 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
