Bear wounds, cookies and drinks with THC. But what many people do not know it can knock you out for days.
Previous brownies are the only edibles around, but now brownies are not the only thing that contains the secret ingredient that many now swear by: THC, taken from the pot.
The Drug Enforcement Administration, DEA, warns buyers of marijuana edibles about their strength.
The THC from cannabis is now a big seller even in states where marijuana is still illegal. But as the DEA told us, many of its buyers have no idea that edibles are longer to affect you and may take longer than they should have some over-effects.
"You have the items you can actually eat, it can be bakery products, candy products, containing THC, which is contained in marijuana that gives you high," says Dante Sorianello, DEA .
As we saw in recent Colorado trips, legalization of recreation Marijuana made a whole new line of consumable products. The legal pottery products have become commonplace in what we have at a fun time according to the owner of this cannabis dispensary in Colorado.
"Having a joint night or having cannabis edibles at night does not affect you now after having a wine wine at night with your spouse," says Wanda James, who owns Simply Pure Marijuana Dispensary.
But according to the DEA, the problem is that the edibles last longer to affect the majority of people, so instead of taking a gummy, they can do more, causing them to ingest a lot more THC than they should have. THC is the psychoactive ingredient that gives you a high level. As told us by law enforcement in Colorado, some people have passed for over 8 hours because they eat too much THC. Another issue, according to the DEA, is that some of these edibles are like candy and can be obtained by children or an adult who is trustworthy.
"They may be labeled packaging warnings when they sell it, but if you have tables open, how do you know? How do you know, if you are going to a friends house and you go to a confectionery , and I want to say that I'm hoping not doing it with your friends, but they have some sort of edible candy that contains THC, "says Sorianello.
Today though dispensaries in states where legal cannabis sees huge profits from edibles, especially on an important demographic that may surprise you.
"So women are the fastest growing buyers of cannabis, especially in edible parts," says James.
"It's important to get the load of narcotics on the street, but if there are people outside of suffering or risking potential death, they want to do it first," says Sorianello.
