The forward Golden State Warriors Kevin Durant will have his injured leg reevaluated before Game 2 of the Western Conference finals but "not close" to returning to action, said source of the league Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.
Durant basketball-related activities continue, which will be the first step in returning to play.
Durant missed Game 1 on Tuesday with the Portland Trail Blazers win with injury, and also missed Game 2 of Thursday night. Warriors coach Steve Kerr said on Monday that a "more detailed update" at Durant will come Thursday.
"Everyone needs to slow down some of Kevin's stuff," Kerr said after Monday's training. "He's not yet walking on the floor … He's still sick, so he's got some time before the rehab process."
Durant injured his calf in the third quarter of Game 5 conference last week the semifinal win at the Houston Rockets after sitting for jumper at Rockets swingman Iman Shumpert and awkwardly landing.
