Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently announced that he has C5-C6 spinal cord surgery. This is the response of SpaceX founder to a question by Twitter user Andy Phillips who noticed a scar located somewhere on Elon’s neck. Phillips also has a similar scar, which prompts his curiosity as to whether or not Elon Musk has had surgery.
Elon Musk revealed that his first operation was a failure
The tech CEO then came in and said he had a Mobi-C, which is a type of cervical disc prosthesis, previously placed in his C5-C6 segment of his spinal cord. He then revealed the shocking news that the first operation was actually a failure because it did not remove the bone spur that was sticking to his spinal cord.
He said after that the second operation was a success. Elon Musk is basically someone who does research before he suggests something and it is evident in his many interviews such as the one he specifically has with Jim Bridenstine of Everyday Astronaut, a popular YouTube channel and Twitter page.
Elon Musk, about his past surgeries, suggests people use Yelp or perhaps other types of online tests specific to doctors. He said the effectiveness varies widely but that is his general recommendation.
Maybe I can be useful. If the Mobi-C disc was placed in C5-C6, but the 1st operation failed to remove the bleeding bone that was sticking to my spinal cord. 2nd operation care. Recommend the use of Yelp or other online medical reviews. Effectiveness varies widely. – Elon Musk (@elonmusk) October 17, 2020

Neuralink by Elon Musk. Can they have a relationship?
Elon Musk’s latest company known as Neuralink revolves around technology that improves and restores certain body movements by improving the way the brain functions. Neuralink recently announced a coin sized chip that the company would later want to insert into the skull to have some thread-like wires to facilitate and improve the way the brain works and repairs some functions that became problematic.
Although no official relationship has been announced, Neuralink wants to help people with physical disabilities either due to injury or naturally born with disabilities. The goal is to help people who have lost certain bodily functions due to injury and regain it with the improvement that already exists.
Neuralink received mixed reviews and an article was written by Fortune about him discussing the question, “Can Neuaralik affect his reputation?” Despite the mixed reputation Neuralink has received, both Tesla and SpaceX have been successful this year and are only growing despite the ongoing pandemic. While other companies like Airbnb are almost crushed by the pandemic, Tesla and SpaceX have risen in price according to an Electrek article.
