Earlier this week, Raymond Felton praised Russell Westbrook and Paul George for the Thunder leadership as a back point guard called team chemistry one of the best he has ever seen.
As a 14-year NBA veteran, and the oldest player in the team, praise from Felton means little in the organization while the 34-year-old has played for many teams during his league season .
That chemistry was re-displayed on Saturday night. At the NBA conference in Charlotte for the All-Star Weekend, the Thunder is greatly strengthened. Rookie Hamidou Diallo won the Slam Dunk Contest on Saturday night while Westbrook and George participated in the All-Star Game on Sunday evening. Felton also made the journey to support his teammates.
Diallo is happy to have his veterans on his side.
That's all of it. Come out here, we all go here as one, like the Thunder Nation. We wanted to bring home, of course, this first NBA Slam Dunk, and today tomorrow one of the guys is taking care of the business on the other side and bringing others home, too, so we can carry many trophies back to Oklahoma.
For his first night-to-day effort, Diallo drove Westbrook to help him as Westbrook throwing a pass off the side of the backboard. Diallo got the ball and then swung the wind to finish his hand.
When Diallo was named the winner of the event, his three teammates were delighted for him to get the trophy while the four players were seen after being celebrated in court.
Some teams have struggled this time to keep the team's chemistry and the product in court was suffered as a result.
