“Let Me Love You Like a Woman” is the first song from Lana Del Rey’s next album Chemtrails Over the Country Club. At one point, Lana said the record will be released on September 5. The release date is currently unknown. In August, Lana teased another piece of new music when she released a piece of a song titled “Tulsa Jesus Freak” on Instagram. The post tagged her frequent partner Jack Antonoff, who is working with Lana on her fifth studio album Norman Fucking Rockwell!.
In July, Lana released the audiobook version of her new collection of poetry Violet backs away from Balas, featuring Lana̵7;s narration and Antonoff’s music.
“Let Me Love You Like a Woman” marks Lana’s first new piece of music since she released Norman Fucking Rockwell! back in 2018. Since that record was released, Lana has been with Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande for them Charlie’s Angels song “Don’t Call Me Angel,” shared covers of “For Free” by Joni Mitchell “For Free,” by Bob Dylan “Don’t Think Twice” (with Joan Baez), Death Cab for Cutie , “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” (with Kacey Musgraves), and more.
At the beginning of the year, Lana had to cancel a scheduled trip to Europe due to illness. Recently, he contributed to a new version of songwriter Matt Maeson’s song on the 2018 hit single “Hallucinogenics” (the two performed live at a 2019 concert in Oklahoma City). In August, Weeknd shared a new remix of “Money Power Glory,” a song from Lana’s 2014 album Ultraviolence.
