On Thursday afternoon, The Simpsons Producer James L. Brooks tweeted, “I wouldn’t be surprised if Marge Simpson shared her reaction to Jenna’s shooting.”
He cited a tweet from old Trump campaign legal adviser Jenna Ellis that exploded the day before the time of Joe Biden’s first official campaign with running Kamala Harris.
Ellis, who also pushed for the latest theory of the birter conspiracy about the vice presidential candidate, tweeted during Harris’ speech, “Kamala looks like Marge Simpson. “Twitter is on the rise, but the iconic cartoon mom is likely to get the last word.
“I usually do not get involved in politics,”; Marge begins with a new video released Friday morning. “But the president’s senior adviser Jenna Ellis was just said by Kamala Harris like me! Lisa said she was not saying praise.”
“In that case, as an ordinary suburban housewife,” she continued, taking a subtle dig in President Trump’s recent tweets, “I’m starting to feel a little disrespectful. I taught my children not to name call, Jenna… ”
Then, as the clip cut on the exterior of The Simpsons family home at night, Marge added under her breath, “I will say I urinate, but I am afraid they will ruin it.”
Of course, while Marge may rarely “get into politics” this is not the first time The Simpsons it was decided that it had to respond after someone on the right shared their deliberately ignorant misinformation on the show.
Two years ago, Senator Ted Cruz confidently declared that “Democrats are the party of Lisa Simpson and Republicans are happy party of Homer and Bart and Maggie and Marge.”
“I want Mr. Cruz to be satisfied The Simpsons, but I think her understanding of the characters is weak, “showrunner Al Jean told The Daily Beast at the time.” I think if she explored Lisa’s positions, she was a smart person, might change he thought. ”
