According to Down Detector, a website that tracks internet losses, users report login issues, server connection and Outlook. The downtime began around 5 pm ET for Office 365, according to the site, and is severely affecting users in the California and Washington area.
Microsoft attributed the outage to a recent platform change, but later indicated that it “does not follow the increase in successful connections after a recent change. We are working to review additional simplification solutions while investigating we are the main cause. “
