NASA released a fascinating image of a huge "dragon" aurora that was quietly charged in the night sky in Iceland.
The natural phenomenon is caused by particles coming from the Sun that contradict the Earth's atmosphere to put on a gorgeous show of light. "Have you seen the dragon in the sky? While real flying dragons do not exist , a huge dragon-shaped aurora built in the sky in Iceland earlier this month, "said the space agency in a post. NASA added: "Aurora is caused by a Sun's corona hole that expels the particles charged to a solar wind that follows a change of interplanetary magnetic field to Earth's magnetosphere."
dragon aurora is mysterious as it appears during low sunspot activity, according to NASA, which means the Sun does not release many charged particles as normal. 659007]
