Microsoft is currently experiencing a verification error that has hit Office 365 systems.
“Starting at approximately 21:25 UTC, a subset of Azure Public and Azure Government cloud customers may encounter errors performing authentication operations for a number of Microsoft / Azure services , including access to Azure Portals, “the company said in a status post
In another post, the company said users could not access Office.com, Outlook.com, Teams, Power Platform, and Dynamics365.
“Existing customer sessions are not affected and any user logged in to an existing session can continue their sessions,” Microsoft said.
In its Twitter account status, Microsoft said the main cause appeared to be a recent change, and it decided to reverse the change.
“We are launching back the change that is likely to be the source of the impact and monitoring the environment to verify that the service is getting better,” the company said, before following 14 minutes later to say it did not see what it expected to see.
“We are not monitoring the increase in successful connections after a recent change is made. We are working to evaluate additional mitigation solutions as we investigate the underlying cause.”
