The Ducks, who finished eight points in the first half, rallied behind Payton Pritchard and Louis King to beat Utah and advance to the semifinals. Oregon (21-12) plays Arizona State at 8:30 pm.
Pritchard and King, who led Oregon with 20 points each, combined for 31 points in the second half.
Defending the Ducks declined the top three of the Pac-1
Utah took a 24-18 lead in the halftime locker room after bottling up Oregon offense in the first half. The Ducks earned 8 out of 29 in the opening half.
Utes was particularly effective in the later stages of the first half. Graduating 14-13 minutes before the halftime, Utah finished the first half of the 11-4 run. The half of Ute's first half-half came from Donnie Tillman, who has 12 points in the first 20 minutes. Utah will hold Oregon at two points from its first half season low.
But the Ducks are different from the second half. The shots began to fall, and the defense remained faithful. Oregon earned the first six points of the game to tie the game to 24-24. After five moments, Pritchard got a quick score, with one from midcourt swipe and layup, to put the Ducks in front of 31-28.
Pritchard got nine of the first 13 points in the second half of Oregon. Then turn King into light. Within four minutes of stretching, he had three-point play in a putback, a three-pointer and a driver's license.
Oregon has gradually increased its lead, pushing it to 45-36 with the aim of Victor Bailey Jr. seven minutes remaining. Utah eventually cut the deficit to four of Timmy Allen's back-to-back scores, but White quickly snapped up Utes's rise by touching a three-pointer.
