Patriots in Eagles: Live updates, game stats, highlights for the Super Bowl rematch between Belichick, Pederson

The Philadelphia Eagles built a two-score lead over the New England Patriots early in the second quarter of their Super Bowl rematch on Sunday, and they maintained the lead heading into halftime thanks to scoring Dallas Goedert in the lone touchdown of the first half. The touchdown was initially ruled out by an interception by Jonathan Jones, but the ball crossed the plane and Goedert's knee went to the end zone. It gave the Eagles a 10-0 lead early in the quarter.

New England took advantage of Eagles cornerback Avonte Maddox in the slot to return to the game. Tom Brady made his mistakes in the first half, but he never paid for them. Brady threw a false ergo into the end zone that Rodney McLeod should intercept, but the Eagles' safety dropped a good read on the crossing pattern. After Julian Edelman dropped a pass in the next play, New England had to settle for three points on an 11-play drive.

The Patriots scored three more points after Carson Wentz's fone late in the quarter, making the score 10-9. The Eagles were close to reaching the field goal range in the half, but the Patriots' back-to-back sacks ended the drive in midfield.
