The two are believed to be the only occupants of the vehicle.
The building, shared by a real estate agency with a software company and a family therapist. was considered "unsafe," police said.
Isaac Kesserman, the owner of the building, said no one was present at the time of the crash.
The accident occurred on Hooper Avenue between Indian Hill Road and College Drive at about 6:30 p.m. about seven hours.
The crash is currently under investigation by Toms River Safety Officers.
