This comment was made by Robert Lacey, author of the recently published book ‘Battle of the Brothers’ which examines the worsening relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry over the past few years. He appears in ‘The Royal Beat’, a show hosted by ‘True Royal TV’.
Robert Lacey argues the Duke and Duchess of Sussex undermine some of their causes by being “in a way too extreme”.
Meghan and Harry have caused controversy over the past few weeks with a number of interventions charged in politics.
In ‘The Royal Beat’ Mr. Lacey said: “People said the Windsors did not‘ wake up ’.
“They do not know how to handle progressive causes.

“However I think William is doing it well.
“She does it better than Meghan and Harry.
“This couple, in a way, is extremely extreme.”
Earlier this month Prince William launched The Earthshot Prize, dubbed a Nobel Prize for the environment.

“These are serious times for the environment. But I believe in human intellect, and I believe in the younger generations who speak like today, that they will not stand for despair.”
Harry and Meghan caused a worldwide sensation in January when the couple announced their intention to stand as working as king.
Instead the couple vowed to be “financially independent” and divided their time between North America and Britain.
They moved to California shortly before the state became a lockdown due to the coronavirus epidemic.
At the end of September Harry and Meghan made a virtual appearance at a show held to celebrate Time Magazine’s list of the 100 “most influential people of 2020”.
The Prince commented: “As we approach November, it is important that we reject hate speech, misinformation and negativity online.”
Meghan added: “Every four years, we are told the same thing, ‘This is the most important election in our lives’. But this one is.”
In response Republican congressman Jason Smith wrote to the British Ambassador accusing the couple of “political intrusion”.

Mr. Lacey assumes that Meghan may be able to promote some of her political interventions going forward.
She said: “Meghan recognized the danger for her family to engage in controversial issues.
“Perhaps he was simply talking about the physical danger that exists in America for anyone, because of how volatile and violent politics there has been but I think he realizes how [her] Her husband’s relationship with the family is dangerous in speeches and perhaps he can return the pedal to some of these more intense positions. ”
