Surprising Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck from the NFL was reported in the middle of his team's preseason game against the Chicago Bears on Saturday night, which means fans at Lucas Oil Stadium have heard of his exit with him still standing on the sideline.
As Luck walked out of the field, a number of Colts fans were heard accompanying the franchise quarterback as he was walking off the field.
Tears happily told reporters after the game that he was retiring due to a number of injuries he had sustained over the past four years, and said he was "lying" if he said he didn't hear. fans leaping at him.
"It hurts, I'll be honest, it hurts," he told fans.
A number of NFL players, both current and former, are not happy.
"This is a very rough game," San Francisco 49ers tweeted cornerback Richard Sherman. "Most people who don't play at this level will never understand what we put into our bodies every season. We don't need compassion because it's what we sign, but to 'boo & # 39 ; of a man who fought for the shame of the city. "

The Chicago Bears tight end Trey Burton, currently recovering from sports hernia surgery, has agreed with the 49ers defensive back.  "I was on the farm when this happened," he tweeted. "These fans are very sad about doing this. Y & # 39; all have no clue how the injuries are affecting the players. Not all of them are the same."
Sherman was with Luck at Stanford, and wished his best friend to continue.  "Thanks Drew for all you give in this game!" he wrote. "You are an amazing colleague and a better friend. You want nothing but the best in your next endeavor. I know you will be much better in your next chapter."
