Samsung’s next flagship may arrive in January 2021, Android Central reported And the newly released rendering shows the camera bump of the Galaxy S20 will also feature in the upcoming Galaxy S30 (or S21; the name is not yet official).
According to reliable leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka @OnLeaks), the standard Galaxy S30 model will have a 6.2-inch flat screen with a hole-punch facing the camera. The S30 Ultra features a larger, curved screen measuring between 6.7 and 6.9 inches. The releases do not provide details about the internal specifications of the phones, however.
Android Central It is said that three new Galaxy S models are expected in the January release, one standard, one Plus, and one Ultra. The Ultra model will have an S-Pen stylus, Hemmerstoffer says, but it does not seem to be a dedicated space for the pen. The camera bump on the Ultra looks twice as large as the standard model and can have up to four lenses, according to Hemmerstoffer; he expects to include wide and ultra-wide lenses along with a telephoto or periscope lens. The Ultra flash can be seen inside the bump.
If the new Galaxy S models are launched in January, that will be a few weeks ahead of Samsung’s traditional late February timeframe. And, as Android Central points out, this will be the closest Samsung has timed to release a new Galaxy S phone on a new iPhone – iPhone 12 models will be released later this month and early next.
