Most are made of small new Sigma fp, officially the world's smallest full-frame mirrorless camera in this writing. But how much was this thing compared to the competition from Sony, Nikon, Canon and fellow Panasonic L-Mount Alliance?
Thanks to people at Camera Size, which has added Sigma fp and compatible L-mount lens to their directory, we can now. Here are two angles of Sigma comparison against Sony a7III, Nikon Z6, Canon EOS-R and Panasonic S1.
For top-down view, we did our best to choose the lens of the same size and weight , though not always possible. As you can see, the camera is smaller than all the competition, and looks down minuscule alongside the huge Panasonic S1, which actually uses the same mount lens.
No doubt Sigma did something wonderful in fp. If it performs at or near the level of competition from the rest of the group-and through all accounts, it should be all the higher in the video at least-it will be a very interesting one- interesting full-frame mirrorless option indeed.
