Tesla has officially launched today the refresh of Model 3 2021 with more coverage and all the features we expect.
Last week, we reported to Tesla that the Model 3 is currently being updated with a significant refresh that includes many new features.
We’ve seen the new center console, new tires, and reported on some other features, but it’s official now.
Tesla has officially updated its online configurator with the new refresh of Model 3 2021 and as expected, it packs a few more updates under the hood.
On top of previously reported aesthetic changes, Tesla has also made new efficiency improvements, including a new heat pump system, a resource familiar with what Electrek said, and it delivers a longer lineup range :
The Tesla Model 3 Long Range Dual Motors achieves a 30-mile range increase to 353 miles (568km).
Other versions of the vehicle also got increased coverage:
- Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus: now 263 miles away from 250 miles
- Performance of Tesla Model 3: now 315 miles up from 299 miles
A source familiar with the matter told Electrek that Tesla is equipping new Model 3 vehicles with a new “efficiency package” that improves efficiency leading the Tesla industry and results in longer coverage.
We will learn more about the improved efficiency once the EPA test results come out.
The new Model 3 also gets all the features we have confirmed in previous reports, such as a powered trunk, new windows with double-pan, and many aesthetic changes.
As expected, Tesla adopted the chrome delete just as it did for the Model Y.
The interior sees a bigger change in the new metallic finish steering wheel, which now seems to be heating up, and the new center console:
Tesla has completely updated the Model 3 wheel lineup with slightly updated 18 ″ and 19 wheel design features and brought the new 20 “urbberturbine Wheels to the sedan:
Tesla also restored the auto-dimming mirror to the Model 3 with this 2021 refresh.
All versions also get faster 0-60 mph accelerations – mainly the Model 3 Performance shaved another tenth second so far 3.1 seconds to get to 60 mph.
There are also some smaller changes, such as a graphic cut near the seat control, that will require the car in hand to get a better view and hopefully with some other changes “under the hood” that we are going to find out about their car delivery in the coming weeks.
Stay tuned. Newer versions of the Model 3 came from the Fremont production line a few weeks ago, but the first vehicles were intended for international markets and now Tesla has begun to do so for the North American market.
