Google launches the awesome noise cancellation in Google Meet on Android and iOS, but unfortunately, it is not available to everyone – you need to be a customer of G Suite Enterprise or G Suite Enterprise for Education to take advantage of the handy feature , Google says. Google first launched it for the web in June.
The technology is designed to soften background noise such as a keyboard or a barking dog during a Google Meet call. If you want to get an idea of how effective it is, check it out VentureBeat video from June by Serge Lachapelle, a G Suite product management director, showing how noise cancellation technology eliminates a crinkling snack bag, a click pen, and a clinking glass 1:50 for demo cancellation noise):
Google G Suite Updates blog says that the noise cancellation feature is turned off by default on mobile, but you can turn it on during a call by accessing the settings call. (Here is Google’s guide on how to do this.) The feature will launch from now on and should be fully launched within a few days.
