Ice Cube has revealed that he was once judged by the children’s TV icon, Mr. Rogers, for using the tune of his show’s theme without permission.
The beef came to light after the American rapper’s first solo album in 1990.
He remembered how Fred Rogers was not happy on the Ice Cube with the theme song on Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood show called Won’t You Be My Neighbor? on the Gangsta’s Fairytale track.

The shocking excitement was revealed in an Instagram Live listening to the 30th anniversary celebration of his Most Wanted album AmeriKKKA which came out in 1990.
‘I actually wrote it for Eazy-E. But you know what it is, we don’t go down in time so I have to take it, “Cube said.
‘It’s a journey. Because, in this song, Mr. Rogers addressed us. He was angry because we had the ‘Mister Rogers’ theme at the beginning of the s ***. ‘It’s a Wonderful Day in the Neighborhood’ and all that. ‘
Cube said Rodger was also receiving royalties for the use of the song and that he was ‘getting five cents a record until we got that part.’
