LucasArts’ three classic games are heading to Xbox Game Pass: Tentacle Remastered Day, Grim Fandango Remastered, and Full Throttle Remastered.
Tim Schafer of Double Fine Productions announced the news on Xbox Podcast (thanks, VG24 / 7), confirmation of three remasters will be available for Xbox Game Pass subscribers on Xbox and PC from October 29, 2020.
The games were originally released in the 1990s, and each became fan-favorite, incl Grim Fandango Widely considered one of the best games of all time. (GamesRadar + gave a remaster of a 3.5 star in 2015, saying that while Grim Fandango was a “fascinating experience”; and “a prime example of how video game stories are not quite bullshit. […] and filled with layers of nuance and actual character development “, many bugs ruined the experience.)
More than 15 million people now subscribe to the Xbox Game Pass. That up to 50 percent in just 5 months, as a service surpassed only 10 million subscribers in April. Microsoft releases new numbers for Xbox Game Pass subscriber numbers in the same press release where it announced its acquisition Bethesda parent company ZeniMax.
In the announcement upcoming Bethesda titles will be coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one, including Starfield at The Elder Scroll 6, and the pending arrival of Xbox Series X at The Xbox Series S in November, I can’t imagine that Xbox Game Pass growth is about to start slowing down now.
Earlier this month, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also got a new benefit in the form of cloud gaming: more than 150 games are now available for cloud streaming on Android devices, both dedicated Xbox fans and people who do not own a console or gaming PC are allowed to play the same game wherever they have a decent network connection.
Here is everything upcoming Xbox Series X games that we know of.
