Two students were killed in the killing of an Atlantic college student

The roommate of a Clark Atlanta University student whose body was found in a local park was held without bail Sunday after his arrest on a murder charge – with his girlfriend of the roommate.

Alexis Crawford, 21,. was reported missing on November 1, five days after she filed a police report accusing her fiancé's boyfriend of what Atlanta Police Chief Erika Shields described as "unwanted kissing and touching."

Crawford's roommate Jordyn Jones, 21, and Jones' boyfriend, Barron Brantley, 21, face charges of malice murder. Shields said investigators are working to determine the motive for the killings.

Shields said one of the suspects led investigators to the body Friday. The medical examiner listed the cause of Crawford's death as an aspiration.

This undated photo provided by the Atlanta Police Department shows Alexis Crawford.

Both suspects are in custody Sunday, Fulton County Jail records show.

"The case came to one of the saddest conclusions possible," Shields said. "For Alexis's family, our hearts go out to you. I'm really sorry we couldn't give you a better ending."

The Rev. Markel Hutchins, who serves as the spokesman for the Crawford family, said the funeral services will be held on Saturday. Family members, he said, were "devastating and heartbreaking."
